10.Sultanas (optional )

Step 1

Soak 4 tablespoon of Chia seeds in 1 cup of dairy free milk , give it a good stir and keep overnight in the fridge as in the picture.

2.Next morning add the overnight soaked chia seeds (stir it throughly once again before adding ) to a cup of rolled oats and cook on medium heat in a deep pan .

Add a quarter cup of water and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring continuously till the rolled oats are cooked and the mixture becomes creamy .

Step 2 :

Add half a teaspoon of cinnamon and nutmeg to the mixture and adjust with a bit more of dairy free milk ( 2 tablespoon) to make it a creamy consistency .

Step 3

Lightly toast a couple of almond flakes in a teaspoon of cholesterols lowering butter , a pinch of nutmeg and a few drops of 100% pure organic Maple syrup for 2 minutes and toss around till they get a golden brown colour and ( remove from the heat else they will burn ) as shown in the picture. repeat the same process with the pears as shown in the pics below ( just slice them into half so they coat evenly.)

Next repeat the same process for the sultanas (just add a teaspoon of butter ) NO MAPLE and take off the heat .

Next lightly toast white sesame on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the colour changes and keep stirring it so it does not burn , take it off the heat immediately and store in a glass container once its cooled for future use . (I used it from my pre made stock )

Finally serve hot in a ceramic or glass bowl topped with toasted sesame, toasted almond flakes, toasted sultanas , pepitas ,glazed pears and top with a dash of maple for a hint of sweetness . (Serve it with or without peanut butter as mentioned in the note above as peanuts are known to cause severe allergies so its best avoided ) and enjoy, bon appetite.
